Unfortunately due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) has decided that the following community engagements will not resume until further notice.

  • Educational Appliance Visits
  • Educational Station Tours
  • School Holiday Station Tours
  • Career Information Sessions
  • Station Open Days

The MFS Community Engagement team will continue to provide community access to a limited range of services subject to risk assessments for individual requests.

  • MFS J-FLIP (Juvenile Fire Lighter Intervention Program)
  • MFS Home Fire Safety Presentations
  • MFS Road Awareness Program (RAP)

This difficult decision has been made to ensure the ongoing safety of the community and our emergency service personnel.

Please continue to monitor this website and our social media sites for updates.

MFS understands that there will be disappointment in the community with this news. The MFS Community Engagement Team are currently investigating ways of creating and providing home fire and life safety information via other means including through the use of technology.
