MFS Image - Appliance with children We send a fire truck and crew to visit you

The MFS offers educational appliance visits for pre-schools, schools, higher education facilities, youth and community groups with an educational or community focus.

We are not able to provide educational appliance visits to playgroups, family day care, kindergyms, child and family care, out of school hours’ care or other private events and activities.

Each visit will consist of one crew, being four firefighters and a fire truck, and is free of charge. The visit includes a fire safety talk from our firefighters followed by a look at the fire truck.

To receive a visit from the MFS, the following conditions must apply.

Booking an MFS Community and Schools Educational Visit

Due to the popularity of our educational appliance visits, it is a requirement that all booking requests be made at least five (5) weeks in advance. This will ensure the best opportunity of securing a booking. Booking requests will be dealt with in order of receipt.

Fire trucks can be loud and intimidating. Please ensure attendees with sensory conditions are prepared with carers or other assistance items, such as headphones, on hand.

If members of your group have special needs, such as interpreters please include this in the additional information section in the online booking form.

The crew and fire truck may be required to respond to emergencies at any time before or during the visit. This may result in the crew having to leave early or having to cancel with no notice. This scenario is beyond our control. Should this occur, we will assist you with re-booking your visit.

Please feel free to call us on 8204 3611 to discuss any concerns ahead of your visit.
