Join us at the biggest MFS Fire Station in the State and find out what it’s like to work in a career that’s anything but ordinary.

This is your opportunity to learn more about a career with the MFS. Ask questions about the recruitment process, the skills and attributes we're looking for, and what the job is really like beyond the lights and sirens.

You'll gain insight into the diverse roles within the MFS, including fire and rescue, technical rescue, training, and the career pathways that can lead to leadership and executive positions.

There will also be plenty to see and explore on the day, with displays from our Community Engagement team and Road Crash Rescue crews, providing a closer look at the wide range of work undertaken by MFS firefighters.

Women in Firefighting

Go beyond the stereotypes and find out what it really takes to become a Full-Time Firefighter at this female-only information night.

This is your chance to ask questions and to hear from female firefighters about how they got started, how the role fits with their lifestyle and responsibilities, and how you can join the action.

You’ll learn about the variety of roles within the MFS, from frontline fire and rescue, technical rescue, to structured pathways that support career progression right through to executive leadership.
