BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE

The MFS is currently attending a fire near POORAKA in The Paddocks, Maxwell Road, near Woodcock Crescent and Codd Street..

Although this fire does not pose a threat to life and property at this time, people in the area are advised to monitor local conditions, check and follow your bushfire survival plan and listen for further updates using a battery-powered radio.

Road users are advised to use caution on the roads in the area as smoke may significantly reduce visibility.

People in the affected area are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if the smoke is causing you concern.

More information will be provided by the MFS when information is available.
