MFS advises that crews are responding to a RUBBISH OR WASTE at a rubbish and waste depot.

The emergency is located at Hanson Rd North, Wingfield.

The emergency is a fire contained to rubbish and waste, but is burning well and causing smoke to drift across suburbs, including Angle Park, Wingfield, Mansfield Park. While this fire does not present any threat to the public, they are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if they suffer from any respiratory or cardiac conditions. Road users are advised to not travel in the area around the Port River Expressway and Hanson Road Wingfield unless absolutely necessary. If travel in the area is necessary, use caution on the roads as smoke may reduce visibility. Police will be enforcing 60km/h speed restrictions on the Port River Expressway, between South Rd and Hanson Rd in both directions until further notice.
