Retained Recruitment Process

The current recruitment process for people wishing to become retained firefighters:

	Pre-Application
	Stage 1: Driver's History Report, Information Session, literacy, abilities and numeracy assessments
	Stage 2: National Criminal History Check and two references
	Stage 3: Medical Examination
	Stage 4: Physical Aptitude Test (PAT 2)
	Stage 5: Interview
	Stage 6: Contract letter and commencement date (if successful)
	Basic Skills and Breathing Apparatus course
