  • Address home security. Ensure that your home security measures don’t prevent you from safely evacuating during a house fire.
  • Are you a smoker? Implement our smoking safety tips to prevent a fire.

 

Working from home tips

 

Working from home? Avoid electrical hazards. Our top tips are:

 

  • Don’t overload power boards.
  • Don’t charge laptops, tablets and mobile phones in bedding or soft furniture. Choose a sturdy, non flammable surface away from combustibles that’s well ventilated.
  • Ensure electrical cords aren’t covered by rugs or pinched by furniture.
