The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) Training Facility is located at Angle Park, 12 kilometres from Adelaide CBD. The 18 hectare site serves MFS firefighters as well as other emergency service agencies. 

The primary purpose of this facility is to conduct our own accredited and non-accredited training programs. We also make this facility available to other emergency service agencies for their training and, on occasions, participate with them in joint exercises.

The site includes
a tower for vertical rescue and rescue from heights training a trench rescue site for simulating trench collapse or rescue of people trapped in confined spaces a mock house for ventilating smoke drills and roofing techniques training Road Crash Rescue training pads Chainsaw and Discutter instruction site Gymnasium for firefighter use Large Mess Room Clean-up facilities (showers)

MFS Recruit Courses for full-time and retained personnel and are also undertaken at this site.

The MFS Angle Park Training Centre has facilities for classroom instruction as well as outdoor exercises and drills.  The lecture rooms are flexible and can be configured for various learning situations, catering for small groups or up to 100 participants.

The lecture rooms are equipped with television, VCR/DVD, Data Projector, whiteboards and a computer.  In addition to the eight lecture rooms, the centre also has a dedicated computer training room, and incident command and control training room.

The facility is available between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.00 pm weekdays excluding public holidays. Contact Commander  Learning and Development to enquire about using the facilities.
