Moonta Station

The MFS has delivered emergency services to the Moonta community since the station was established by the SA Fire Brigade on 1 January 1891.

Moonta Station is staffed by a crew of ten retained firefighters who are available on a roster basis, 24 hours per day, every day of the year.

Moonta Fire Station has a Mid Urban Pumper with 2,250 litres per minute pumping capacity. This appliance is staffed by one supervisor and three firefighters and a Regional Operational Support Appliance, which is a 4WD 400 litres per minute pumping capacity appliance staffed by a Supervisor and one firefighter.

Moonta Fire Station staff train on Tuesday nights from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
