Join us as we roll up the doors to the State’s biggest fire station for the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) Adelaide Fire Station Open Day.
When: Saturday 4 November, 2023
Time: 11am – 2.30pm
Where: Adeliade Fire Station, 99 Wakefield Street, Adelaide
The free, post-Pageant fun will start at 11am on pageant day, right after Santa and his float sweep past Adelaide Fire Station on Wakefield St.
Highlights of the day include:
- Meeting MFS and other emergency services personnel, such as CFS, SES and SAAS
- Taking a closer look at our fire trucks and equipment
- Road crash rescue simulations with our Road Awareness Program (RAP) team, demonstrating in real time how we respond to car crashes
- Simulated rope rescue from heights by specialised firefighters
- An interactive child fire safety education display, including the ‘Stop, Cover, Drop and Roll’ game
- Information on common causes of house fires and how to prevent them
- Information about a career as an MFS firefighter and the application process.
