Alert SA App

On Saturday, 6 January 2018 the Alert SA App experienced significant performance issues which resulted in the non-display and provision of notifications and warnings to the community.

The Alert SA service provider has failed to provide the Emergency Services Sector with confidence of the solution’s reliability to provide safety information to the community.

As a result, from Wednesday, 10 January 2018 Alert SA App users are instructed to delete the Alert SA App from their device which will cease to display incidents and warning messages.

The Alert SA App will be removed from both the ‘Google Play’ and ‘iTunes’ App stores.

The Alert SA website will remain until 15 June 2018, and work is currently underway to decommission and redirect users to other public information sources.

The South Australian Emergency Services Sector reminds South Australians to Stay Informed, by using relevant Agency websites, social media, ABC local radio alerts, the Bushfire Information hotline - 1300 362 361 (TTY 133 677), the State Emergency Service Hotline (132 500) and the national Emergency Alert telephone and text based warning system.
