TORRENS ISLAND POWER STATION WORKSHOP FIRE

At approximately 4.20am, South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) crews responded to a report of a fire in a workshop at Torrens Island Power Station.
On arrival, crews found a fire in a cabinet within a large workshop which was not attached to the main power station infrastructure.
The fire was extinguished within minutes and no further damage occurred, 16 firefighters and the marine firefighting vessel MV Gallantry were initially dispatched to the scene, but the fire was extinguished by the first arrival crew.
