MFS advises that crews are responding to a fire in about 20 vehicles at a Wingfield car wrecking yard that has now been brought under control. (This is a reduced threat message.).
The emergency is located at a car wrecking yard near Cormack Road at Wingfield in Adelaide's north. The incident started as a grass fire that burnt through a small area of grass before spreading to the wrecked vehicles. The grass fire was quickly brought under control. It took MFS and CFS firefighters about one hour to bring the fire in up to 20 vehicles under control..
The emergency is now under control and this is a reduced threat message. .
While the MFS is aware of this incident, if you notice a different emergency incident that is unattended, call "000".
