MFS advises that crews are responding to a fire involving up to 100 crushed vehicles at a scrap metal business.

The location of the emergency South Terrace at Wingfield.

The emergency is contained, however Metropolitan Fire Service and Country Fire Service firefighters continue to battle the fire which is expected to burn for the next few hours. Smoke has reduced, however members of the public are advised to stay indoors and close all doors and windows until the smoke has passed. .
