MFS advises that crews are responding to an outdoor fire in a pile of rubbish at a steelworks facility.

The location of the incident is near the Lincoln Highway at Whyalla between Whyalla and Port Augusta.

The incident is causing smoke to drift across the local area. Motorists driving on the Lincoln Highway are advised to use caution at Whyalla. Motorists and residents are advised to remain indoors and close all doors and windows until the smoke has passed.
