The MFS is currently attending a fire in/at/near RENMARK SOUTH The MFS is currently attending a fire in/at/near RENMARK SOUTH in grape vines, trees and grass near Renmark Avenue. The grass fire is approximately 600 metres by 400 metres in size and is currently considered to be contained - but not extinguished. MFS and CFS firefighters will monitor the fire for the next few hours. Residents are advised that smoke is in the area, and is currently being pushed in a North Westerly direction away from Renmark. Motorists in the area are asked to be aware of the presence of emergency vehicles..
At this time, the fire does not pose a threat to life or property. People in the area are advised to check and follow their Bushfire Survival Plan, monitor local conditions and listen for further updates on this radio station using a battery-powered radio.
Road users are advised to use caution on the roads in the area as smoke may reduce visibility.
People in the affected area are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if the smoke is causing you concern.
