ADVICE MESSAGE
Issued for Murray Bridge township
MFS advises that crews are responding to a Ammonia Leak at a food processing facility.
The location of the emergency Maurice Road Murray Bridge, south east of Adelaide.
The emergency is now isolated, however firefighters need to naturally ventilate the room where the leak was. This may cause ammonia to travel over the township of Murray Bridge. Members of the public, including those with respiratory conditions, are advised to stay indoors, closing doors and windows, and ensuring their air conditioner is not introducing air from outside into the house. Low levels of ammonia can cause coughing, tearing, respiratory irritation, headache and nausea.
