An appliance and crew visit your community event

MFS firefighters attend a variety of events to promote fire safety in the community.

Each visit will consist of one crew, being four firefighters and a fire truck, and is free of charge.

Events we attend include pre-schools, schools and higher education facilities, charities and community groups. Other groups are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We are not able to attend playgroups, family day care, kindergyms, child and family care, out of school hours’ care, private events or activities of a commercial nature (paid entry events).

For the MFS to attend your community event, the following conditions must apply:

Booking the MFS for your Community Event Visit

Due to the popularity of the MFS attending community events, it is a requirement that all booking requests be made at least five (5) weeks in advance. This will ensure the best opportunity of securing a booking. Booking requests will be dealt with in order of receipt

Fire trucks can be loud and intimidating. Please ensure attendees with sensory conditions are prepared with carers or other assistance items, such as headphones, on hand.

The crew and fire truck may be required to respond to emergencies at any time before or during the event. This may result in the crew having to leave early or having to cancel with no notice. This scenario is beyond our control.

Please feel free to call us on 8204 3611 to discuss any concerns ahead of your visit.
