MFS Station Photo - Paradise July 2009

The MFS has constructed an additional metropolitan fire station at Paradise.

This station replaces the Glynde MFS Station which commenced operations in 1968.

Paradise Fire Station is staffed by 22 firefighters (across four shifts) providing prevention and community preparedness, operational preparedness, emergency response and community recovery services 24 hours per day, every day of the year.

Paradise Fire Station has a General Purpose Pumper Appliance with 3,800 litres per minute pumping capacity staffed by an Officer and three Firefighters.

Paradise Fire Station provides accommodation for a fire appliance and operational crew, as well as modern training and operational facilities. It incorporates energy efficiency initiatives including 12kW of photo voltaic (solar) technology, water harvesting and water recycling.

The primary response area of the Paradise Fire Station includes the following suburbs:

Glynde, Hectorville, Rostrevor, Newton, Athelstone, Highbury, Dernancourt, Paradise, Windsor Gardens, Klemzig, Felixstow, Campbelltown and Marden.

Paradise Fire Station was officially opened by Premier Mike Rann MP on Saturday 4 July 2009.
