The MFS advises that the threat posed by a fire at a railyard shed has reduced.

The incident is located at Alpha Terrace at Solomontown, Pt Pirie in South Australia's mid north. The fire is under control and MFS and CFS firefighters are working to ensure it is extinguished. Smoke in the Pt Pirie area has reduced, but motorists and residents should be aware that residual smoke may remain in the area for several hours. .

Motorists and pedestrians should use caution in the area due to the presence of emergency services vehicles.

Repeating, the MFS advises that the threat posed by a fire at a railyard shed has reduced.
