Incident Name: REYNELLA

 

ADVICE MESSAGE

Issued for Reynella, Sheidow Park, Old Reynella, Woodcroft, Morphett Vale and surrounding areas

MFS advises that crews are responding to a VEHICLE FIRE involving a semi-trailer carrying recycled materials including vehicle tyres.

The location of the incident is the Southern Expressway between the Panalatinga Road Ramp and the Sherriffs Road Ramp, and is impacting southbound traffic.

 

The incident is currently being brought under control by MFS firefighters supported by the CFS, however is causing significant amount of black smoke to drift across surrounding areas.

Residents in the area, particularly those with respiratory issues, are advised to close doors and windows and avoid going outdoors until the smoke passes.

 

The public is asked to avoid using the Southern Expressway as there are significant delays for southbound traffic..
