MFS advises that crews are responding to a fire in a refrigerated semi trailer at a road verge.

The location of the incident is Kingston Road near Pyap in South Australia's Riverland, halfway between Moorook and Loxton.

The incident is causing smoke to drift across Pyap and surrounding communities. People with respiratory issues are advised to remain indoors and to close all doors and windows until the smoke has passed. Motorists are advised that smoke may impact visibility when driving in the area and to avoid the area.
