BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE

The MFS is currently attending a fire in/at/near BLAKEVIEW near Smith Road and Bentley Road at Blakeview. The grass fire is burning in approximately 2 hectares of grass land..

At this time, the fire does not pose a threat to life or property. People in the area are advised to check and follow their Bushfire Survival Plan, monitor local conditions and listen for further updates on this radio station using a battery-powered radio.

Road users are advised to use caution on the roads in the area as smoke may reduce visibility.

People in the affected area are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if the smoke is causing you concern.

More information will be provided by the MFS when information is available.
